This Privacy Policy describes how CyberSector (“CyberSector,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information associated with cybersector.us, our remote monitoring and management software (“CyberSector RMM”), related support, and communications.

The public website includes illustrative product demonstrations that use sample information. They do not connect visitors to managed endpoints or live customer sessions.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors to the CyberSector website, people who contact us, and individuals whose information we handle while providing CyberSector RMM and support services.

Where a business or organization uses CyberSector RMM to manage devices, that organization may determine why and how information about its users and endpoints is processed. In those circumstances, CyberSector may process information on its behalf, subject to applicable agreements and instructions. The organization's own privacy notices and policies may also apply.

Information we collect

  • Website visits: Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, and basic request or diagnostic logs may be processed by hosting, security, and delivery services.
  • Inquiries: If you email or contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, organization, and message.
  • Account and access information: Where applicable, names, email addresses, account identifiers, assigned roles, authentication and verification records, and account or session activity.
  • Managed-device information: Device identifiers, hostnames, operating system and agent details, connection state, network metadata, telemetry, patch and security posture, and related administrative records.
  • Remote support information: Session metadata, commands or actions performed, audit events, and information exchanged or made available during authorized remote-support activity. Remote desktop, terminal, or screen-sharing content may be visible to authorized session participants as part of providing the service.

Information collected depends on which features are enabled, the organization's configuration, and the services used. Not all categories apply to every visitor or user.

How we use information

We use information as reasonably necessary to operate and secure our website and services, respond to inquiries, provide authenticated access, support authorized device management and remote sessions, execute and document administrative actions, troubleshoot issues, maintain auditability, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where privacy laws require a legal basis for processing, the basis may include performing a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the services, complying with law, or consent where required.

Remote access and managed devices

CyberSector RMM is designed for administrators and technicians who have permission to manage endpoints. Device information, software updates, policy actions, command-line access, remote-control sessions, and audit records may be processed in connection with those functions.

Organizations deploying CyberSector RMM are responsible for appropriate device-owner or end-user notices, authorizations, account permissions, and compliance with workplace and other applicable requirements. Users should avoid displaying unnecessary sensitive information during support sessions.

Product demos shown on the public website are simulated and use fictional identifiers. They are not active connections to customer devices.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be shared with infrastructure, hosting, database, security, authentication, email-delivery, support, and other providers when necessary to deliver the relevant service, subject to applicable arrangements. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a legitimate business transaction subject to applicable legal protections.

CyberSector does not describe its product demonstrations as a source of real user or device data. This policy does not imply that every possible third-party integration is active or used for every visitor.

Cookies and similar technologies

The public website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, traffic sources, page views, and engagement. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and processes information such as browser and device details and website interactions. The RMM application may use authentication cookies, session-related storage, or comparable technology to maintain account access and preferences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent certain account or security features from functioning. Learn more about how Google uses information at Google’s partner-site privacy information. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Retention and security

Retention depends on the type of information, the applicable service configuration or agreement, operational and security requirements, and legal obligations. Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, then deleted or de-identified where appropriate and practicable. Backups and security logs may have different retention cycles.

We use security measures appropriate to the nature of the service, including access controls and measures intended to protect accounts and communications. No internet-connected system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the relationship involved, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain uses of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To ask a privacy question or submit a request, contact contact@cybersector.us. We may need to verify your identity or refer a request to the organization that controls a managed account or device. Rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction.

International use and children

Our service providers and users may operate in different locations, so information may be processed outside the place where it was originally provided, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.

CyberSector RMM is intended for business and professional use, not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information inappropriately, please contact us.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the website, product, service providers, or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate manner where required, and the effective update date will be revised on this page.
